            Role of music in Cinema


       Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound organized in time. Music include common elements such as pitch, rhythm, dynamics and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. Music is performed with a vast range of instruments and vocal techniques.
Music plays a major role in cinema. Music adds beauty to cinema like bright colour paint that adds beauty to a building. Music has  major impact on the success of the film. Music tempts people to watch  movies. In olden days music was purely in carnatic style.Later on it was updated to western styles too. The first Indian soundfilm , Alam ara (1931) was a major success. 


A film score is original music written specifically to accompany a film. It forms part of the film's soundtrack, which includes preexisting music, dialogue and sound effects. These back ground scores bringout feelings in an effective manner . Visuals without bgm are not welcomed by people.

MY FAVORITE- OLD MOVIES  It might be surprising, but I would confidently say that I love old movies than the new movies releasing now a days.  To be specific, I love the movies of the 1980's and 90's. It is my personal opinion to call the movies of those times the best of all the movies I have seen. Movies like, 'Kuch kuch hota hai',' Mouna raagam', 'Punagai mannan' are few of my favorites from that time. I believe, those movies had a unique charm and graze that could easily attract the audience to watch them.
