          COSTUMES FOR ACTORS 

 
   Physical appearance matters a lot when it comes to cinema. Attractive costumes and pleasant makeup of lead actors fascinate people a lot. It is important for both male and female artists. In olden days, it was only saree for female artists. Then slowly other costumes like paavadai chattai, half saree, chudithar evolved. They were purely traditional. People modified several dresses to come up with a new one. In " Mudhal mariyathai " film, the lead actress Radha wore sarees without blouse. 


Then actresses started wearing costumes exposing some parts of their body. This broughtabout  drastic change in costumes. Designers started to think more and came up with innovative costumes with different styles . They altered the length, width, size, model. Creativity of designers played a major role in costumes . Bright colours were chosen for the lead actress and light colours for the back dancers to show a difference between them. Costumes were filled with embroidery designs, bright small stones etc. Many sponsors willingly came forward. Costumes were given according to the theme of the story or the character which he/she possess. 


Actors loved performing with different costumes.

MY FAVORITE- OLD MOVIES  It might be surprising, but I would confidently say that I love old movies than the new movies releasing now a days.  To be specific, I love the movies of the 1980's and 90's. It is my personal opinion to call the movies of those times the best of all the movies I have seen. Movies like, 'Kuch kuch hota hai',' Mouna raagam', 'Punagai mannan' are few of my favorites from that time.
